One of the most promising 21st-century technologies is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has the potential to transform the field of learning, the industry of work, health care, the arts, and social sciences, among others. In recent years, AI has markedly transformed how artists make art and how social scientists study, analyze, and produce knowledge. While AI offers numerous opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and creativity, it also generates questions regarding originality, ethical implications, intellectual property, bias, and the role of human skills in the future. This study examined differences between the impact of artificial intelligence on creativity in the arts and the impact of artificial intelligence on research in the social sciences. The research type employed in the study is Documentary analysis of the scholarly literature as qualitative research. AI has been found to impart more creativity, shorten research timelines, enhance data analysis, and expand knowledge. Despite these improvements, concerns such as algorithmic bias, over reliance on AI, the possibility of plagiarism and copyright issues, and ethical considerations remain significant factors in its application. Finally, the authors feel that AI is a complementary tool to human creativity and logic, and should not be seen as a replacement for it. It recommends responsible application of AI, ethical considerations, digital literacy training, and human supervision for the best use of AI in both sectors.
